Convivio
When they ingest gluten, celiacs develop an immune response that destroys the walls of the small intestine. At present, the only possible treatment is a gluten-free diet for life. However, such a diet quickly becomes a barrier to sociability. So how can people diagnosed with celiac disease be helped to stick to a gluten-free diet?
Quentin came up with the idea for Convivio: an individual table steamer. The timer is common to all the guests and distributes the energy needed to the cooking modules. Everyone makes their food choices in a friendly and tolerant climate. You can cook, eat and socialize in complete freedom!
This project, exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 15 September to 3 October 2021, has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2020.

If one of the guests wants a special recipe with gluten, the individualization of the system allows each person to prepare what they want.
"
" The Convivio project takes the form of a new user-friendly cooking appliance, designed to be used at the table by everyone present. Based on the principle of steam cooking, the ingredients used in the recipes are gluten-free. However, if one of the guests wants a special recipe with gluten, the individualization of the system allows each person to prepare what they want.
Passionate about the culinary world, Quentin has taken an interest in those who cannot share this passion, because of their illness. How can a designer contribute to overcoming this problem? How can celiacs eliminate gluten from their diet while maintaining a fulfilling social life? By going to meet people diagnosed with celiac disease, he built a solid base for discussion and observations. Quentin identified their needs and daily difficulties in managing their disease. An example of a design tool for all, Convivio is made with empathy and creativity. It offers a product that can be adopted by the greatest number of people. "
