Open trip
Slow down, take your time: this is what the “Open trip” caravan created by Théo is offering. The caravan can be towed by any vehicle with a tow bar and doesn’t need a special driving license; it constitutes a micro-habitat. Complete with all mod-cons – king-size bed, shower, fridge, table and seating – it features a self-sufficient energy system. All its components are compact and easily stored.
The defining feature of this micro-caravan consists in limiting the maximum weight on the towing vehicle to 50kg. Its efficient aerodynamic characteristics lighten this towing vehicle and redefine travel as an invitation to go back to basics.
This project is part of Design portfolio 2020, a selection of 36 projects from this year which bear witness to the talent, creativity and know-how developed by the students during their undergraduate studies.
