Parallaxe
Do you know what dyspraxia is? It is a learning disability which reflects the difficulty, or even the inability, to automate a gesture. For the person concerned, performing this gesture requires great concentration and energy. It is necessary to break down and anticipate each movement.
Virginie came up with Parallaxe to help overcome the problems of young dyspraxic adults. The software, connected to a watch and neck loop earphones, helps them to manage their time better. Users create temporal alter egos that ensure their schedule is not overloaded or offer them "gesture cues". Parallaxe increases self-confidence which is too often put to the test.
This project was selected as part of Design L'Expo 2021 and was exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 4 December 2021 to 27 February 2022.

With Parallaxe, Virginie Lelièvre supports dyspraxic adults, which means more than 560 000 people in France today. Dyspraxia is a developmental disorder that affects the management and anticipation of intentional movements. A simple gesture requires great concentration to be accomplished.
The consequences on the daily life of these people are far-reaching. These young adults often need to undergo rapid rehabilitation. Faced with this situation, Virginie could have gone for speed and profitability. On the contrary, Parallaxe chooses to embrace slowness.
This application can be used on a smartphone, tablet or computer. It allows the programming of gestures and tasks in the form of "time capsules", with a system of reports and reminders. It is associated with discreet objects: a connected watch indicating present and future activities as well as neckloop earphones to listen to the sequences and gestures.
