POLO
Symbiotic Kitchen
All over the world, cities are growing at an alarming rate. Yet 93% of French people feel lonely, even though they are surrounded by hordes of people. At the same time, deficiencies in our modern diets are highlighting that it is “time to return to our natural farming roots” (United Nations Report - 2013).
The system needs reinventing. With POLO, Héloïse Mariani in international class provides a different perspective on our social and eating habits. She encourages a new life philosophy where the kitchen becomes a multi-purpose space that is sustainable, circular and shared. The space is divided into 4 areas: the greenhouse, the kitchen, the living space and the terrace. POLO thus leaves its users free to cook, relax, garden or socialize!
This project is part of Design portfolio 2020, a selection of 36 projects from this year which bear witness to the talent, creativity and know-how developed by the students during their undergraduate studies.
